Brain On Fire
Dear Lovely, 🌺
Are you prepared for the unexpected?
Predict, plan and control!
Everything! Everywhere! All at once!
Good health, good education, stable income, enough savings, fine possessions, family and friends, good retirement plan, community involvement, social connections, etc.
Assurance that we would be able to overcome any adversity that comes our way.
“Huston, every area of life is under control! Checked and optimized! We are good to go!”
But can we really have control over everything? Everywhere? Every time?
Can we be prepared for every possible emergency in life? No surprises?
No! The truth is that we can’t.
Life sometimes catches us with our pants down.
Tough times can come at any time even without a warning and everything can change in a moment.
Our lives can fall apart for a split second.
For Kyla does.
Kyla loved her life – another year in the university, a new part-time job, in peak health, thriving, traveling, wandering in nature, nurturing her spirit, and developing her passion for health and wellness.
Everything started with the seizures. Then her brain went on fire, burning down with inflammations. Her brain is trying to kill itself now.
Kyla is suffering from an autoimmune condition where her immune system attacks her brain's myelin. This causes seizures, neuroinflammation and cognitive dysfunction. Her body is in a constant fight-or-flight mode.
Kyla has a choice: she either heals or dies.
(They call this a fair choice?!)
She is currently undergoing treatment, but the Canadian public healthcare system is unable to help. Kyla is doing this on her own - there is no family support.
Kyla is always there to support others and now she needs our support!
(Even though she hates asking for help!)
I would highly appreciate YOU if you decide to join my friend Kyla in her battle with her brain.
Here is her GoFundMe page, where you can read her story and help with whatever you can.
You can also follow her journey on Instagram and Facebook.
“This is one of the hardest, most painful things I’ve experienced. But also one of the most beautiful as I find little glimmers of hope and bits of joy.” – Kyla
Thank you, Lovely 🙏!
Love,
Vanya 🍀
